Looking for some opinions I’ve got an Audi A1 sportback its the 1.4tsfi 150bhp. I’ve been thinking about converting it into the 2litre s1 both are petrol. The s1 is 4wd and my A1 is fwd I’d need a rear diff ect, is it possible to get a 2litre engine/gear box, s1 radiator intercooler ect in my car? If so would that be too much of a job?
My car currently is an s1 rep inside and out, apart from the engine
Any feedback, info will be much appreciated

Anything is possible...
All comes down to how deep your pockets are... am sure plenty will be a long (including myself) saying it would be an uneconomic conversion and why?? just buy an S1?? cost, timescale and hassle would make it pointless and re-sale would be hard possibly getting a couple k more than a standard A1 1.4...
Buy as second hand S1 and at least residuals wouldnt be too bad in comparison of that build cost.

An S3 engine would be more logical imo, probably more available and no more to buy?? and a sensible 400bhp with barely any mods... Then at least it might be almost as valuable as a standard S1 being quite a custom car

Given the complexity of wiring and systems in a modern car like that...even if the physical swap is easy, the rest could be a nightmare.

And if you're having to ask the question.....

This is the crux of it.

If you have to ask then that means you can't do the conversion yourself so it will cost a fortune in labour. (+parts of course)

Sell your car and buy car you want instead.

It'll be cheaper, easier and way less stress. Not to mention the time your car will be off the road during the work.

I'm not saying you cant...but it does shout that you'd be way in over your head.

Really...just buy a better car to start with.

If you are going to do it, do it properly by putting in a supercharged lt4 V8 from the corvette. Otherwise don’t bother, it’ll be expensive and still sound rubbish.
