om642 turbo actuator replacement

it seems that my turbo actuator is playing up any ideas how easy it is to replace? seems i can get a replacement for £90 on exchange.

I've seen people change them on YouTube but what's always stopped me from attempting it is access to the turbo in the engine bay itself.

Just to replace a dodgy seal on my turbo was represented as a decent piece of work by a Merc technician.

I understand the actuator failure is to do with constant oil deposits from the crankcase ventilation so I wondered whether it would be possible to clean the oil off the actuator and then fit an oil catch tank.
