So on Friday I went to the car and it randomly wouldn't start so called the RAC who came out the next day where the car started up straight away and was fine no fault codes or anything. So that day drive around town all day doing some shopping and on my way back the car juddered and the car lost all power Nd eventually came to a stop and cut out .... at this point it wouldn't restart. I had it towed to the garage sat night and Monday morning the mechanic started it up first time once again no codes drove it around for a while and no problems at all and no loss of power etc. I picked it up later that day drove home no dramas but when I tryed to start the car again it struggled took a few attempts but eventually started up and now the EPC light is on but starts and drives no problem.

Myself and the mechanics are baffled by what it could be. Has anyone had any similar problems.

Since you've got a fault code, I'd start with that. Does 'EPC' refer to drive by wire type electronic throttle? Maybe you have a pedal sensor fault or an actuator fault.
