Have a 2010 2nd Gen Kia Sportage 4WD (2L CRDl) and seems to be conflict online over the gearbox and differential oil type. No manual for help...

Anyone know what types to use.

Some say Manual gearbox takes API GL-5 80w90 or 75W90??

Differential 80w90 API GL-5??

Any help guys would be appreciated =)

Would use 75w/90 in both and forget. In theory the 75 is thinner when cold which is generally a good thing. A local well respected gearbox place I have used sticks motor factor quality 75w/90 in everything they do and never worry, don’t think they have many come backs.

KIA will probably tell you it’s ‘sealed for life’ and can’t be touched.

Ok, if it asks for GL4 in the gearbox, make sure you use that in there, not GL5.
