Hello guys, have trouble with this car, M47R engine. It is my very first diesel car, and seems lastsmile I will try to explain my problem in good English.

So, have some Freelanders in my garage:

Freelander KV6 2.5, bought it with 88.000km:

Freelander TD4:

So, about my last car- Freelander TD4. 130.000km on the clock, it is 81.000 miles. It is my first desel car, i have experience with petrol engines only. At the moment this car is head pain.

On higher revs, over 1800- some of unburned, liquid fuel goes to exhaust with very strong smell of diesel. Engine starts very good. Normal power as well (tried to drive a little near garage).

I checked and replaced all vacuum hoses. No vacuum leaks at all. Of course air filter and PCV are new. MAF- new. Boost solenoid- new. Vacuum servo- tried another with no success. Tried another crankshaft position sensor- the same.

All intake manifold gaskets new. EGR fully closed when engine off. Checked all connections from solenoids, sensors (fuel pressure as well) to ECU- zero ohms, so, problem somewhere else.

How unburned fuel smoke looks:

Leak Off Test:

After this test all injectors cleaned, serviced and now fully within specifications. Installed with new copper o-rings.

Idle after injector servicing (almost no vibrations):

What it could be? Maybe someone saw something like this?
Could it be bad compression (car starts fine)? Maybe fuel pressure too low and because of that injectors makes bad pattern?

The exhaust does look a bit smokey but I wouldn't assume it's fuel. Is it using any oil?
