Advice on my 2013 SEAT IBIZA engine please?

So i bought a 2013 SEAT IBIZA last October from a large car dealers, after a month or so it developed a loud tapping sound. I took it back and they had it for three months, they told me it was the tappets and that the engine had to come out and had the tappets replaced as well as the timings.

Now, they said at one point they had it fxed but it happened again (before i got it back) but i got it about a week ago and its making the same noise as far as i can tell.

Can anyone advise if that is indeed the tappet issue again?

Engine doesn't have to come out for 'tappet' replacement. I assume they mean cam followers.

No idea what is meant by 'timings' being replaced. It is not a technical expression used in relation to car engines.

I think you need to find out what the actual diagnosis (and subsequent repair) was...and perhaps ask for it in writing so we can give a verdict.
