Hi all,

I'd be extremely grateful if someone could help diagnose the fault with my car as it's become rather elusive....

My Peugeout RCZ is making an intermittent clunking noise during gear change. The noise only becomes evident after being driven for 20mins or longer. The car has been inspected by a main dealer who were unable to hear the noise, which is not surprising as taking it for a spin around the block is not a 20+ minute drive! However the engine mounts all seem ok.

I've created a webpage with a brief description of the fault and included 3 short video clips that capture the noise here...
www.penninehomesecurity.com/rcz-clunking

Id be very appreciative If anyone could spare a minute or two by taking a look.

Thank you!

you don't say how many miles your car has done?

looking at the video, it looks driveline related, I'd check

wheel bolts are they tight?
calliper bolts are they tight?
wheel bearing
driveshaft, seated properly, no splits in the gaiters?
clutch release bearing
clutch pressure plate
clutch.

if it's not one of those, sell it!

Thanks for your response Jerry can,

The current milage is 49k and the clutch and dual mass flywheel were replaced at 37k under dealer warranty

Wheel bolts all good
Calipers all good
wheel bearings all good

Can't see those videos without enabling more scripts than I'm prepared to trust from a stranger. Can you host those videos somewhere trustworthy?

Hi Greenv85,

There should be a padlock symbol next to the url to show that it's a trusted site. No sure about scripts as the videos should be preloaded and play when promted

The padlock shows that the site uses HTTPS. It says nothing about whether the site contains any malicious scripts or plug-ins. Not suggesting you're deliberately trying to infect people but I have no reason to trust that site.
