Oil change soon after recommended?
It depends on exactly what you've done, the history of it and the specification.Oil change soon after recommended?
The more specific you are with your question, the more specific we can be with an answer. Right now we're at level one; vague.
Is it just a like for like cam swap or not? What happened to cause this job to be done?
If it's just a cam swap for performance then there isn't much of a procedure for an OHC. Throw some fully synth in it (and on the cams) and ride off into the sunset if you can, it won't need an oil change if that is all that was done. There isn't much in the way of bedding in (unlike new cylinder bores) which leaves metal in the oil.
The only problem I can see is your engine won't run properly if the cam spec has changed so you won't be able to do the above. You will have checked piston to valve clearance?
There may be some break in guidance on Kent and Pipers sites too, but there isn't much to do or go wrong really.
