I'll throw a wild one out there...that a MK1 Escort probably used a speedo cable. No wiring necessary.Hi can any one help me, I am trying to wire my speedo, I know what the eight wires going into my speedo connect to, but I do not know what the three wires from the speedo sensor converter are Red, Green and Brown is there any one who can help

Your connection to the speedo, do you mean the Ford dash cluster?
Mk1 Escort didn’t use the Type 9 and only the later Type 9 had an electronic sensor on Sierra’s
Without more info I can only conclude you have a dash sensor mismatch.
As said before the original Escort Mk1 dash cluster used a cable drive.
So a Ford Sierra manual should have a wiring diagram for the electronic gear speed sensor but I don’t thing your dash cluster will have any connections
You can however convert your gearbox back to cable but would need the correct plastic gear to match your diff ratio and tyre size
