2.2 kia Sportage has started going into limp mode on odd occasions with revs limited to 2,500. Switch engine off and it restarts normally but doing it more and more often. Today the engine management light came on. Phone call to Kia and they THINK it's a DPF problem and it's booked in for diagnostic check but tech warned me to expect a hefty bill for a new one.

Any thoughts or recommendations please? I'm in St Neots Cambs so please don't suggest Bradford or Manchester etc.

If it's the DPF, make sure you work out why it blocked - it's likely to be caused by some other fault or by you driving it in a way which doesn't give it a chance to regen.

As above if there is an issue causing the blockage if it isn't sorted at the same time, it will happen again.

If the issue is your driving style/mileage then you shouldn't have bought a diesel.
