Keep V8 engine rumble & defer exhaust high-pitch noise?

The first 4 seconds is a gorgeous V8 rumble. However, after that is high-pitched exhaust note. I don't like that the high-pitched exhaust note hides the V8 rumble after a certain rev range.
Is it possible to defer the high-pitched exhaust note to higher revs (and/or reduce it) to hear the V8 rumble across more of the rev-range?
I appreciate a lot of sound/acoustics is trial and error. However, someone might know something.
