Suzuki Swift 1.5 GLX (07) Auto Transmission Fault Code p0707

Hi All,
My wifes Swift auto had the EML on and mechanic read a fault code p0707 (transmission range sensor). We have had trouble selecting gears recently, and sometimes have to use the shift lock button to move out of Park. This is an intermittent problem. On clearing the code, the EML light disappeared and has remained off.
What are options for fixing this? Does anybody have experience of this code or problem?
