FOCUS ZETEC S 1.6 TDCI HELP!!!!!!!!!

hey,

Hoping someone can help me out, I bought a a focus 1.6 diesel 2011 plate a couple of weeks ago first week was perfect, ran without fault. Since then its been breaking down engine cutting out completly so the first time it happened..... here is the RAC codes after this a had the fuel filter changed. happend again day after and these are the other codes its come up with...... this time it was at the garage they took dash out and re-soilder all the connections the next day it broke down again!!!! So this problem seems to be intermittent the main fault is the engine cutting out completely and saying 'engine malfunction'.... I really hope someone can help me out.

sometime it will run for a minute sometimes will be fine on a 40 mile drive there no pattern of when it happens...... hoping i've covered everything also is there a decent code reader i could buy the get the codes myself?

Well I would be looking at that sensor ref voltage being high poss broken/failing wire/resistance in circuit corrosion etc , because if its referring to that crank sensor code (and I'm assuming it is) you will get engine cut and non-starting the Immob code may be due to you spending long periods of cranking so this fault code can pop up at times, remember these code descriptions are only as good as the programmer and far from infallible, like I say I would be chasing what I've described 1st check out wiring condition its external and low down so may be vermin or impact damage it could also be moisture in the plug its upside down on the crank sensor IIRC , dont rush your checks and take your time inspecting, if you feel out of your comfort zone find a garage with a good rep recommendations etc
