Hello,

I have an Audi A1 2011 1.4 TSFI - Auto. As the title states it has the dreaded DSG 7 dry gearbox. (car has done around 60k miles)

The car currently does not start, when the car turns over it tries to jump forward, so it is either stuck in gear or the clutch is faulty? The car cannot be moved either as the wheels do not spin freely. I had originally thought this to be the mechatronics unit so this was went away. It came back as faulty so it was refurbished.

I have put the mech unit back onto the car but the problem still persists however I get a new fault code P176A - Gear Selector 1 Cannot be Regulated.

I have also tried doing a basic settings but this fails, the code I am getting is 255 100 0 0 (100 = Kupwegrampe 14 Kup_zu K1 Timeout). - which I believe to be clutch 1 timeout.

This leads to believe there is something up with the clutch pack and coincides with the symptoms? I have also completed a group 62 (which is a basic setting used to disengage the clutch incase it is stuck). Once I have done this, I am able to start the car. At this point none of the gears do anything though.

I would like to get other peoples opinion on this? Is there anything else I can try? Obviously I want to avoid taking the gearbox out and changing the clutch pack as this sounds like a monster job (to do it myself with all of the tools necessary etc) or very expensive if taken to a specialist.

Any ideas / help would be much appreciated - thanks!

Cxppers

Hello

I'm having the same issue, did you ever solve this problem. Was it the clutch assembly?

Thanks

I'm sorry but I cant help, I really want to upgrade my own Audi to the automatic version but the following phrase I read on another thread I saw a while ago fills me with utter dread.

Audi S-Tronic - German for "how much?"
