Peugeot 207 Engine oil leak

Just wanted some advice really, I had a mechanic look at my car, but he said they all leak bits of oil, he said it wasn’t anything major. And it was just coming from the seals, I’ve got some pictures of the oil, to me it seems like quite a bit.

It’s leaving marks when ever it’s parked but it has no other issues and it isn’t probably as much oil as it looks.

You can see the oil when you lift the hood up.

It’s down near the belt and all over the front looking down.

Anyone familiar with this or know what it may be? He said the gasket was ok.

He fitted a new clutch and that’s fine now. It’s just this puzzle with the bits of oil but the oil is still full.

A small amount of oil goes a long way when leaking, hence you need to lose a lot before it's low on the dipstick.

It could (quite obviously I hope?) be leaking from anywhere.... Crank seal, cam seal, sump, headgasket, cam cover etc etc. Its not diagnosable online with no photos!

Have a look at the front left corner of the engine block, I'll bet its leaking oil from the head gasket there, they are st and all do it eventually.

Gasket is ok. Mechanic said it’s the seals, but I’m not too sure.

You need to clean all the old filthy oil off everything then you should be able to find where the oil is coming from, dirty filthy job though.
