Uprated actuators

Hi chaps.

Just wondering if anyone knows how an uprated actuator (stiffer spring to hold boost for longer) on a stock turbo would work with a standard map, if it was designed to go hand in hand with a remap what happens if a stock map is put back on, will the ecu learn and compensate for it?

Chances are it'd just throw an error code as the boost control no longer fits within the required limits for the ECU.
