As title really gents. It's 250 bar rated hydraulic hose.

I'm guessing clutch hydraulics don't see anywhere near that sort of pressure?

Has anyone tried this?

Thanks

It's a bit vague. If you mean like say a huge hose for a digger...then not really.

If it's a sensible diameter and happy with brake fluid, then yes it isn't an issue.

Clutch line is unlikely to ever see even 50 bar. From memory, my own is usually only around 25 bar

My comment below assumes you are in the UK.

Does the hose you intend to use have any specification markings? Something like a British Standard that it meets or some other, relative to hydraulics, formal industry spec. It is obliged to have it's spec indelibly marked on it. From this you can look it up and verify what fluids it will tolerate

Brake fluid is usually glycol based whereas hydraulic oil is usually petroleum based. So hydraulic hoses will usually be fine carrying brake fluid, but the other way round might be problematic.

Although 8mm ID would be rather on the large side for a clutch.

Wont matter much, but it'd usually be much smaller.
