Flashing engine light suzuki swift gls

Hi the engine light started flashing on my 51plate suzuki swift the car then started to smell of eggs and started to lose power. I managed to drive it home was only half a mile away. Is this likely a cat. Convertor problem? The exhaust was nosiey too. I think it will be the scrap yard for the car. Just want to know peoples thoughts. Thanks.

It's very possibly a misfire problem ( check codes ), which driving in this condition could lead to cat problems and a bigger bill by chucking unburnt fuel into the car, which will be part of the smell.
