LT77 Gearbox Overhaul
Discussion
Not used them for a gearbox I would probably be looking at Ashcroft Transmissions.

Sadly the above don’t touch 2wd transmissions so it went to these in the end.
Quick turnaround and reasonably priced.

Can I ask what they did and how much (approx) it set you back? The reverse in my Westfield Seight with LT77 is near impossible to find so am seriously considering to send it off too...
Mine came to £450, had new bearings, some new synchros, new pump and gaskets.Funny enough mine is in a Seight!
There are some good notes here regarding adjustment if you want to try that, poly bushes to the shift housing are a good upgrade too.

Cheers for that! What a coincidence. What's the spec on yours? Mine's a 2002 3.9L EFI with the LT77. Only got it 3 months ago and currently putting things right before the weather starts to improve again.
I've got the bushes ordered as per the gomog article the ones that are in at the moment are perished which causes the whole remote linkage to move when you shift, but I'm not sure I can actually remove the remote linkage from the gearbox whilst it is in the tunnel. Do you happen to know?

Just fitted a recon short engine and refurbished the box too.
Plan to enjoy for a summer or two and then sell.
You can get the housing off without gearbox removal, fiddly but doable.
On mine I went in from the top as the aluminium panels inside are easy to remove.
