Hello all. Can anyone advise the tightening torque for the ARP bolts on steel rods on my Rover V8 engine?

Look up ARP's instructions for the specific bolt you have. Or if they were supplied with the rods, whatever instructions relate to those rods.

The bolt head should be marked as to the bolt type ie ARP or CARR or whatever. Then identify it's thickness and do as Stevie suggests. Carrillo has a chart on their site, here:

https://www.cp-carrillo.com/files/steel-bolt-instr...

What make are the rods. The manufacturer should also be able to give you torque details or stretch and whether to use lube or oil etc.

Oh, and keep an eye out for fake ARPs.

Thanks Everyone, just what I need. Next task is to find some bolt assembly lube.

I'm pretty sure ARP Lube is overhyped Moly lube.

But various retailers will sell ARP lube if you're stuck.

Any decent engine builder will have plenty in stock, I was going to suggest looking up someone local, but uh, you know.
