Hey everyone,
I just wanted to ask for some advice
I have a bmw 1 series 116i
It’s a late 2009 model
I have gone through three rear right drive shafts in less than one year
About 8 months ago - car was loaded, driving uphill, heard a pop - driveshaft gone
Repaired it, but then driving uphill, someone slammed on and did a 3 point turn, when I tried to drive off, it broke again
Now less then two months later, whilst accelerating (flat/downhill) and changing gear, it has snapped again
I can’t quite understand why it keeps breaking, is it my driving, or is it the quality of repair, or is there something being missed?
I would really appreciate any advice as seriously considering getting rid of the car, but not really in a position to afford another (or the recurred repair costs!)
Thanks in advance

Thanks for that
Just called dealership
They said it doesn’t apply to mine unfortunately
Dropped it off to the garage - they’re saying maybe rear diff - I’m hoping not!

Exactly how is it breaking and where ? And is it same each time ?

And is it OEM parts or other ? Any crash history with the car ?
