A friend has bought a minibus to convert it to a camper. It had a rear air-con unit that needed to be removed. He has had the system safety depressurisation and I have removed the piping from the engine bay to the removed unit in the rear.

To be able to re-gas the system he now has 2 choices as I see it. Replace the remaining engine bay pipes with those from a non- rear air-con van (not very straight forward) or blank off the 2 open pipes in the engine bay.

Does anyone know if you can buy blanking plugs? A quick Google proved fruitless. Or any other suggestions?

Do those actually have to be blanked, or does the gas need to actually flow through them linked out ?

You could squish the ends and have them soldered or the likes.

You could cut the pipe flush, and tap and install a tapered plug into what's left.

Or give Ralph a shout, and he could knock something up
