Accumate Trickle Charger

Hello
I have a Accumate Trickle Charger to use when I go on holiday as a precaution and I have a question.
In a nutshell it’s only has one light showing which according to the instructions means the battery is too deeply uncharged or sulphated to recover it, however the car works fine. Interestingly the lower light on the left comes on for 30 seconds and turns off.
Does anyone have experience of this?
