LS3 Mapping Recommendations NW
Discussion
If he fancies it I would start by getting in touch with Wayne at Chipwizards near Haslingden. I know 2 or 3 people who've had their cars mapped by him and nothing but good reports.
Just beware that he doesn't suffer ropey cars, like many mappers he's had enough of project cars breaking down on his rollers!

Hi all - any recommendations for mapping services in the North West? I'm looking for someone who can help with an emissions issue for IVA on a new crate LS3 I've installed.
Off topic, where/who did you get your Ls3 from?I’m going to be looking for one soon.
On topic, I would use Ric Wood Stockport.

What's the issue ?A new crate setup on OE ecu installed correctly should easily fly through any test. It should not need remapped.
Thanks again all. It failed very marginally on LAMBDA by being slightly lean!!
I've spoken to a couple of people who have advised I check fuel pressure is reading correctly and for any tiny leaks in the exhaust. As stated, these should fly through and I was a bit surprised when it didn't.
I have a friendly MOT place I can trailer the car too and put it on their analyser once I've done my checks & adjustments. If that fails then it may require a deeper look.
It was supplied through American Speed who unfortunately no longer trade, I believe due to the guy retiring. He supplied a lot to the Ultimate world and did the whole package for me, LS3 engine, ECU, 6L80 gearbox and all the looms, ancillaries etc. Very easy to install and with care was a plug & play solution for me. I'm sure other state side suppliers will export? If not, then Parts World Performance are the GM importer. I wasn't confident with their sales people technical knowledge when I spoke to them though.

A plug and play crate engine and ecu should have a good enough map already, remapping it may mask an installation problem, so i would look at rectifying them first before remapping.I've spoken to a couple of people who have advised I check fuel pressure is reading correctly and for any tiny leaks in the exhaust. Usually a high lambda reading would suggest an air leak in the exhaust
An actual AFR reading might be helpful, although if it really was that lean as 1.1 Lambda suggests, it probably wouldn't be running that nice during the test.
What was normal idle reading ?
Presumably the system is in closed loop and working fine ? Any decent garage should be able to do these basic checks, as the car really should not need to be re-mapped given it is all standard parts
No idea bout NW, but John Sleath seems to get recommended a few times and is more NE. Not sure if he works with the OEM ecu or just aftermarket though.
You could maybe try the likes of Motorsport Developments in Blackpool ?
