Has a general question if fuel rail pressure / pump not working would it cause a faster cranking? This is my daughters boyfriends car he wasn't aware to listen for the fuel pump prime so not sure why he had a crank no start this morning. He did say on Sunday it took a while to start. Battery is showing 12.7v so state of charge is good amd 380 CCA. Car did eventually start this afternoon after a long crank 6 seconds approx. Have tested fuel rail pressure with external gauge and get 60psi during cranking and when switched off it holds 50psi. Don't think this model has a fuel pump control unit looked by the pump cover and the wires just dived off along the side panel trim. Couldn't get it to fail whilst I looked at it this afternoon/evening. No fault codes logged on generic obd scanner. Tks
