What might be a cost effective way to check and get my car back onto the factory map? I suspect it's been messed with and I don't like it.

It's a Focus ST-2 2012. I bought it from a friend, it's otherwise standard, he suspects it may have been mapped in the past.

One of the tuners who've written their own general maps should have the standard software available I'd imagine - Mountune or DreamScience for example.

You'll probably never it it back to your 100% factor setup, most should have some sort of generic standard for the model though.

I'm sure the likes of Motorsport Developments in Blackpool could do whatever you need

Have you tried a Ford dealer? I know there was an issue in the VAG community with software/ECU updates wiping out maps that had been put on when going for services etc.

See if you can buy an ECU on eBay with the immobiliser disabled. Or just buy an ECU and then pay to get the immobiliser disabled.

I’m not familiar with whether these cars are turbocharged or naturally aspirated. If the latter I can’t imagine tuning is that common.
