Anyone tried them or similar, 85 quid seems cheap if it works?

https://www.halfords.com/car-repairs/dpf-and-exhau...

or is it just the same as a couple of cans of spray off Amazon?

I would stay well away from Halford for anything. Find someone who knows what they are doing.

Description in the link says:-

“ What's included in a DPF Flush?

Our DPF Deep Clean is a professional workshop treatment designed to clean partially blocked DPFs with some soot build-up.

It includes an inspection of your DPF to understand the cause of the blockage, a direct flush of the filter and a test drive of at least 20 minutes”

A dpf regen is usually an option on the cars mechanical sub menus.
They will park your car up outside select the dpf regen setting and the car automatically holds the engine at a preset rpm for the next 30mins.
You can achive exactly the same by driving up the motorway for 30 mins in 4th gear.
Itxwill use justcas much diesel.
Just turn up the radio and enjoy the music.

This will be the next level, which I've had to have a couple of times before getting my Caddy remapped and some clever tweaks to prevent it getting fked once again.

Gets sprayed into the system, and it starts clearing out the dpf at a much lower temp than regent temps - often enough that a computer blocked regen can actually start.

If you're putting dpf cleaner through it it doesn't take more than a 5 minute or so drive to clear it out

My logic here is that if the car trigger a regen you need to keep the engine hot until it’s complete. If the regen fails because the
Dpf is to badly blocked, then paying someone to manually trigger a region is a waste of money. You need a chemical flush, ideally with the cat removed. Further you need everything check ensure the thermostat is not faulty or you have a sensor issue etc. Goto a specialist who has good reviews in your area.
