Does anyone know of a engine tuner / builder in the Hull area which has a good reputation with cosworth engines. Mine's got a tapping coming from the top end so needs a looking at.
Many thanks Darran

Not from Hull so cant help you with anybody, but it sounds like one of your lifters is on the way out. Oil ok and topped up is it? Mine old cossy used to do this when the oil was a little low.

might be worth asking over on www.passionford.com.

There would be quite a few cossie guys over there who could advise.

if the motor is getting on a bit the grade of oil will make a difference..... I found Mobile 1 just to runny even in the freshly built engine I had with all new tappets.
Think I remember using Shell RS or was it castrol RS.

Mobil 1 Motorsport is very good, 15/50 grade.

I would never use Mobil 1 0/40 road version.
