Can anyone recomend a good supply of parts for an MI 16 engine rebuild? Its done over 110k so I`m planning on doing the rings and valve seals over the winter.

If its just a standard rebuild check your local motorfactors or engine reconditioners for parts.
A word of advise though is to check for ovality of the liners/bores, very common fault.

There are some places like www.pugspares.co.uk and www.hiflowheads.co.uk who should be able to sort you out with standard and uprated rebuild parts.

Cheers Mikey, one of the bores sems to have more wear than the others. The piston crown looks like darker and there is more of a ridge near the top than the others,so i think I`ll replace the liners while i`m at it.keeps me off the streets.

I have just finished my Mi rebuild and used www.q-e-p.co.uk, top bunch of people who really know there stuff.

If the liners are still usable do not forget to deglaze them to allow the new rings to bed in.

I had my 8V SRI head from Andy at Hiflowheads, top work, excellent services.

Also i've heard nothing but great things about QEP.

Go onto www.205gtidrivers.com and there are lots of very knowledgeable people with these engines, Matt at QEP is on there aswell.

Dave!
