A friend of mine has a Corsa 1.0l three cylinder things... Recently she complained it made a bit of noise, and a couple of days ago, it got rid of its oil. I had a look at it today and the underneath of the car is covered in oil, but there is only a little bit of oil on the block, that seems to have dripped from the oil pressure sensor... I heard those engines have a tendency to fail, but I have no idea what to look for.

Has anybody ever experienced anything of this kind?

The engine is the Z10XE by the way...

trouble is the oil switch fail and drips the oil missing the block you may find just changing the switch(cheap from dealer)common fault and putting oil in it is all that it needs, good luck.

Changed the oil pressure switch and that seems to have done the trick. I also realised that the switch that was on wasn't the right one and the electrical connection to it was a big bodge... Possible cause?
