Fool Injection – Ford Crossflow
Discussion
During a conversation with a mate last night about the rebuild of his Ford Crossflow powered pickup, the idea of fuel injection came up to replace the rather worn Weber carb.
Now this is going to be a budget rebuild so Weber Alpha and all that is out of the question. My mate mused on the possibility of using the set-up from a Ford Ka as the earlier engines used in them were apparently crossflow derived.
So PH gurus – possibility or peeing in the wind?

That KA conversion is gonna keep you busy you would have to do away with the lambda/closed loop circuit the old x/flow will be as flat as a nuns t*t with those fuel ratios, your likely to cause engine damage as well, that engine design wont like lean mixtures, but you can just do away with the oxygen sensor and have a fixed fuel ratio.crankshaft sensor will need mounting somehow into timing chain cover,as i said wont be easy.
