Hey all, anyone know if there's a way to cancel the service light ie Engine Light on a 2000 Renault Megane Coupe 1.4 16v without bringing it to a dealer!! Holding in summat and starting the car or that kinda thing!!

There is no service light on it,that is a malfunction lamp,trip to a diagnostic machine is your fix there.

"SERV" light? Also has an Engine with an X in it, i thought that'd have been the one ya need to run the machine for?

are you talking about spanners in the display?

if not then it's a malfunction indicator light as said and will need to go on a scanner, doesn't have to be a dealer most independant garages will be able to do or arrange this for you
