14 CUX question....yet another!
Discussion
Is there a 5v output on the CUX? I'm looking to plumb in a different AFM to the engine, one with much less restriction, namely this one www.x-desk.net/ximages/6166_pgpi0020en.pdf the 12v and ground feeds exist fromt he original loom, the signal can feed the ECU via an appropriate shunt resistor, I just need the 5v reference, I guess this could come from the datalogger, but I'd prefer a 5v ECU feed to make things neater to install
There's the extra advantage that I can add the temperature output to my data logger, through an correcting formula

Here's the pinout:

Cant see an obvious one, but i would stick your DVM on one of the three wires leading to the throttle position pot (TPS) as they usally wired 5v,ground and signal. (which looks like PIN 3 on the connector)
You could always make one, the LM7805 is a three legged device, 12v, ground and hay presto 5v.
Are you retuning the ECU to account for the different AFM?
Edited to add, TPS is two wire - but still uses 5v feed,Information is in here grab it now:

wouldnt that be a modified engine then so push you up a class

I think the spirit of alllowing 4ltr chim and griff into that class was that they were running standard motors. a different afm isnt standard
but what do i know ... just trying to avoid problems later. I'd check with JR before you do anything especially if it involves spending money.. ;-)

Don't listen to him Iain .. I've got his Tuscan in the workshop and can quite easily "nobble" it
anyway, i thought that the rules in our series were that there are no rules! .. otherwise how can the GTF silhouette racers get in? Not much TVR left in those methinks
For our next car we're going to strap a light Vixen body on an ex F1 Fezza chassis

Nor is a non-TVR cam, bulleted guides, a CRE chip, big brakes or adjustable suspension so I guess I'm stuffed.

It doesnt need nobbling yet ;-( not even running so far...
The GTF's are still all running ex tuscan challenge chassis and running gear.. and AJP motors so still fairl TVR :HEHE:
The is one rule. Your not suppossed to beat me
