Don't know if this is the place to put this as it an electrical problem. My rev counter gets to 3500rpm and then drops to 0. Havn't got a clue on electrics so any advice would be welcome before I have to think about taking the rev counter out.
Many thanks

I may also be in W/V but even I can't see what car it is.

Would help to know make and model to get some idea where the rev signal comes from.

Evening Steve
It is the white Marcos, Rover V8, just down the road from you. I assume that power comes from the coil. Bit of a problem as I want to do track days and they ask you to rev to 4500 and they won't pass it if the R/c is not working, as I found out at Goodwood.

If it's wired the same as my Range Rover then the signal wire comes from the alternator of all places. Have you tried connecting another rev counter to the signal? I have a Gunsons dwell tester that also outputs revs so that may work.
PM me if you want to give it a go. Will be around Friday PM and Sat getting my act together for camping at Stoneleigh Show. You going?
