I'm looking to install a rev counter on a Rover K series engine (1400cc).
I belive that the engine as supplied was not fitted with RC.
Q. Where can I install the RC to the engine ?, and is there a converter that will take an electical signal (if a mechanical take off is not available)to drive a small electric motor so I can have a mechanical RC gauge on the dash ?

Why not buy an electronic rev counter? It'll be a lot cheaper to install. If the engine runs wasted spark (has 2 coils, each firing 2 plugs) then use the diagram from this link to supply a signal to the RC - http://www.megasquirtmaps.com/board/index.php?act=...
