which oil for a Ford Crossflow
Discussion
I'd use a good quality 20/50 mineral or semi synthetic 15/40. I would assume it's a reasonably old engine which won't have the close tolerances of modern engines.
I use Valvoline racing 20/50 in my race engine but that may be a tad ott for normal road use although it isn't overly expensive in the grand scheme of things.
Just to add that if you don't know what's in it at the moment do a full oil and filter change so you don't mix oils

What he said, but Valvoline racing is perfect for a tweaked road engine like the crossflow!!I use Valvoline racing 20/50 in my race engine but that may be a tad ott for normal road use although it isn't overly expensive in the grand scheme of things.
