2002 Saab 9-3 turbo, non runner
Discussion
Have a problem with a friends Saab 9-3 turbo. UK car, 2002.
Trionic OBD II
Initially the heater/climate control started malfunctioning, shortly after, the radio stopped working. Indicators also stopped working.
He arrived at work, parked up..and thought nothing of it.
On returning to the car, it wont start. Occasionally, it makes a brief attempt, but thats a rarity.
With Snap On Scanner, there is no communications. Saab themselves cannot communicate with the ecu either.
Saab cooms also says climate system not present, and entertainment not present. Trionic not present also.
There is no spark, and no injector pulses.
The ecu relay is triggering, and appears to be working on the key. Injectors and Coils do have +12v power. Just no trigger.
The RHS floor under the carpet was also flooded at a time, although all wiring, and earth points etc appear to be in good order.
He has not probed the actual engine ecu yet, as the terminals are difficult to get at, to verify if power is actually getting to it. Although the ecu power relay is working, so it should be.
Anyone any thoughts ??
Thanks, Stevie
