Emissions Lights Clio 197 CUP

Hi Guys,

Just got a brand new 197 clio cup, drove it 50miles and the Emissions Light is on? Ive not driven it hard, kept it under 3000rpm mostly.
Its going back to dealer on Friday, they said to try and not use it till then? What do you guys think? OK to drive? what could the problem be?

Why are you driving it under 3k revs? are you running in? and if so why are you giving the engine such an easy time.

I've seen exactly the same thing on another brand new 197, was cam position sensor. Emissions light is triggered if the cam position sensor fails as the lack of cam posistion forces the management to run batch fired injection rather than sequential at low rpm which puts it outside of Euro compliance.

If it's running batch fire it'll almost definitely be having a good go at killing the cat/cats..
