there's also a Capri garage in Blackpool. He may be able to help you out. Are you sure you'll not pay more insurance for it as a modified vehicle rather than the stock 2.0l?

Dont consider putting in anything smaller than a 1.6 X flow frown besides a 1.3 will be so underpowered it will use as much fuel as a 2.0 anyway.

a 1300 capri will be dismally slow. They only really start to get moving at about the 2 litre mark and my advice would be to start here. It will be less expensive than you think insurance wise as they will all be insurable under classic policies. (in theory) try footman james or osbourne and sons...

have been looking on the internet and have come across a few nice looking capri's with 1600 crossflows in but thinking about buying a mk1 fezza to get a couple of years ncb have been working on the capri for past couple of days fitted two 1"inch wheel spacer to see what the s wheels looked like with theem on, they dont seem to look that bad with about an inch clearing on the rear with 205/55/r13's on the rear may have to buy a full set of 205 toyo proxers to make the car look ok have still got to finish bonding the x-pack to the bodywork and doing varios jobs
tried starting her for the first time today with a fully charged battery flicked the electric feul pump turned ignition on pressed the magic button, she turned over and was really trying until i heard a loudish whining noise only to find that the starter motor had come adrift
will fill you in on the car tommorow or poss sunday need to get her moted by march 2009!
