Hi, thanks for lookin as this is my first ever post!!
I have just driven home in my new (far from condition wise!!) rs turbo and among the faults it has an electrical one!! i was wondering if anyone could help as to tec info about the bat and alternator amps etc, and a wiring diagram will come in handy to! lol!
And also shouldnt the fuel pump have a cut off if the ignition is turned but engine not cranked or started? Cheers guys!!

take a look over at www.passionford.com
You'll probably get more info there.
Most efi cars do not run teh fuel pump unless the engine is turning. Some older ones ( eg Ford ) have a intertia switch, that cuts off in the event of a shunt. Or in some cases a large pothole.

There's an inertia switch in the passenger footwell compartment, literally just left of where your feet would go. The wiring for the fuel pump goes through into an aux fusebox under the glovebox there as well (or it did on mine)I have just driven home in my new (far from condition wise!!) rs turbo and among the faults it has an electrical one!! i was wondering if anyone could help as to tec info about the bat and alternator amps etc, and a wiring diagram will come in handy to! lol!
