LS7 oil cooler take off
Discussion

I'm based in West Sussex and building an RCR GT40 with Chevy LS7, Kinsler stack EFI and Quaiffe ZF-Q transaxle.
I want to fit an oil cooler to the LS7 via a thermostat which precludes using the dry sump system as a take off point. I found a take off from MIH (TVC 15) which fits on the (removed) blank plate on oil filter mount which looks ideal and they claim will do the job. However what appears an almost identical product from the USA by Lingenfelter claims not to work with the LS7 (it will work with any other LS)
Anyone have any practical experience of this?
(I shall also post this in the Ultima forum)
Many thanks
John

If fitting an oil cooler to a dry sump car....
There is usually lots of plumbing...so I'd guess easiest way to do it, is to break into one of the pipes from the pump ???
Or perhaps contact Gardner Douglas. I'm sure they will have done it before, as they use dry sumps on a lot of their it cars.
