I am after some pipe work to made up and was wondering if its ok to use exhaust pipe to do the job. The turbo will be running at 1.8 bar max.

Define exhaust pipe ?

Some exhausts are made from rusty old scrap steel. Others are nice stainless, and some even titanium.

But stainless steel is probably the handiest.

stainless steel I think 304 grade. So this will be ok ? I see most people who get custom pipe work have lots of different sections welded together I was just going to get it mandrel bent, can you see any problems with doing this ?

The less joints and welds the better. It's advisable to weld a bead around the ends of the pipes to help prevent boost pipes blowing off at the couplers.
