White smoke when on throtal??
Discussion
Hi guys
Got my Mk2 golf back from its MOT all seems fine until today when I got it to about 4.5k rpm I had a cloud of white smoke out of the rear. It seems to puff quite a bit now when on throttal and gets worse when the engine is under load. I am guessing its top end related possibley valves. Water temp seems fine so dont think its HG. Any ideas?

Smoke or steam? Is the tailpipe wet or oily? Did they take it for a thrashing?
Looks very smoke like, the tailpipe seems to look normal and not wet in anyway. I have known the garage all my life and they treat the cars they work on very very well so I dont think it would have seen any abuse from them. I did notice that my water temp failed to get any higher than 1/4 and it was a rather hot day. Will check water levels when I get home.
