gearbox help needed

I think the gearbox on my audi has gone due to it only going into 3rd and 5th. The other gears just graunch and won't select so I presume the synchros have gone. The car is under 3yrs old and has only done 25k so I should be able to get this done on warranty. Just so I can go in armed with info does anyone know if this is a known fault or this could be something other than the box? Any help or guidance is appreciated
