Skoda Aux Belt Damper.

Hi To All.
This is my first post as i am hopping for some help.?
When i was on holiday with my Skoda Octavia that suffer a water leak, that turned out to be a small hole in a heater pipe, caused by the aux belt tensioner damper braking off the anchor plate.
Temp repair was made by removing the damper and fixing the pipe, I have now done some 3,000
miles since with no problems.
My question is should i go for the repair priced at £225.00 or should i let it be.
Also what is the worst case of letting it be.
