Renault 2.2 DCi Oil Leak

I have an 03 Laguna II 2.2 DCi that has started leaking oil from the top of the engine. The oil pools in the area of the inlet manifold that the injectors and glow plugs sit in. Normally I'd suspect a rocker cover gasket, but this seems to be in the centre of the manifold area, making it unlikely, in my mind at least, to be a gasket. I have heard that the manifolds can crack on these cars. Is this a symptom of that, or another problem altogether??
