In what respect ?

I always say Julian Edgars 21st Century Performance book is an excellent one.

Not great in depth in anything in particular, but excellent coverage of a wide range of topics.

Do you mean SAE tech documents or tuning books in general?

Anything I can fire to .pdf (or is already .pdf) for the "quiet" moments during the day..

Quite merrily read ecu manuals and things like that..

How technical doe sit need to be? Viazrd's book Tuning The A Series is always something I suggest to people as it shows the theory behind most of the things people to do engines. Whilst it does, obviously, focus on the A Series, what it teaches applies to all IC engines. It doesn't cover much in the way of injection though.

Legendary book. But I think you also need to be involved with an A-series whilst reading to get the most from it. Otherwise, so much of what is in the book may seem like it isnt worth reading. At least when working on one yourself at the time..you have a physical item to refer to when reading various bits.

Was going to suggest that too, even better if you buy one along with a stimulator - you can take it down the pub and impress your mates.....

No use to me any longer - swapping the 540 for a VXR8 LS3 tomorrow!
