help removing stuck 106 water pump

Ive tried to change my 106 gti water pump but it seems well and truely stuck. Ive tried shocking it but it seems to have made no difference, any other advice would be appreciated

Do a bit of googling, you probably missed a bolt or stud.

They can lock in very tight. Big lump of wood so as not to damage anything and keep hitting that with a lump hammer. It'll come out eventually.
