Hi guys I'm hoping to fit a ls400 lump into my Starion turbo! I have the ls400 BUT ENGINE AND BOX STILL IN SITU......So....

Can anyone give me the dimensions for the rear of the engine please? ie the disatnce between the mounting points please????

There are some gearbox issues ie which 1 and cost so I'm doing as much homework as poss before I disable the lexus!!!

I've been all over the net lextreme lexus owner and v8. com and all www.'s!!

Try searching for a 1UZ-FE and you might find some more info wink

Hi I found those side and front dimensions on piston heads bud! I NEED THE REAR!! lol ta

As can be seen from the front, the rear is no larger than the front. Guess.

What exactly do you need to know? What do you mean by mounting points? I havea 1UZFE in a Cobra here I could take some measurements from.

If you do a search at Lextreme on "gearboxes" you will find all the info you need on preferred type for power available, adapter plate/ replacement bellhousing suppliers, etc, etc. IIRC there may even be a gearbox mounting bolt cad drawing available, if not post up on site asking for one as there's plenty guys who have made adapters for all types of boxes.

( Me, I've cheated and used the standard Lexus waftamatic.....so smooooooth)

Cheers guys just removed the wedged in v8 and box and seperated them!

Will post my findings when I have got jiggy making an adaptor plate and flywheel/ clutch!!
