As the title suggests really guys and gals. I was out using the car the weekend (for a change) and this problem has been there a while now but, before i start throwing loads of money at it i though i'd get a PH opinion first.
There is no real reason as to why from what i can fathom out apart from maybe under bonnet temperature that is causing this confused . As after my initial journey the car had time to cool down but was basking in the sun and almost as soon as i got back into the car it cut out again. This is happening simultaneously. Anybody have any ideas as to why this maybe doing it. Is it a wiring loom fault, a dash pod fault or something else?

Thanks in advance.

M3J.

First thing I would check would be the condition of the fuses in the fusebox. It is possible that 1 fuse feeds both the Techo and the AC control. It may well have popped out or oxidised.

Ok cheers for that. Would this cause an intermittent fault though that comes and goes?

Yes, bad contacts like this come and go as the vehicle jiggles about, and from things like the vehicle heating up / cooling down and moisture condensing. If it isn't the fuse then it certainly sounds like a bad connection and you would need a wiring diagram to be able to see if the 2 systems have a common ground, power feed or whatever.
